01 What we build
the record
How the record gets built.
It starts at the bench. Something happens in a flask or a well plate, the instrument picks up part of it, someone writes down part of it, and the rest is just lost. Or the run failed, so nobody bothered.
We keep all of it. The good runs and the bad ones, in one format instead of a hundred.
We're starting where the data is hardest to get.

02 Why it matters
the stakes
The last layer AI hasn't learned.
AI got good at language and code because they were already online. The physical world isn't. It's in lab notebooks, on paper, or stuck inside the machine that ran the experiment.
That's the problem. A model can write you a synthesis it has never actually seen run. It has read everything about the bench and stood at one exactly never.
The record is how that changes.
